It has an attractive "liwan" (shaded area) with a decorative ceiling; which has been turned into a traditional sitting area. Intricately carved wooden doors and shutters, painted ceilings throughout, arabesque windows with stained glass, and an enormous chandelier completes the picture here in Tourath House. Tourath in Arabic means tradition; therefore, this hotel is wonderful because the Aleppine culture is itself wonderful!
