Bab in Arabic means gateway. Bab Qinsreen is the most preserved gateway of the 9 gateways in Aleppo's fortified historical walls; it was also the passageway within the historic Silk Road. It is believed that this great gate was built in the 10th Century AC by prestigious ruler of Aleppo;Saif Al-Dawleh Al Hamadany.
